It’s been a time of celebration recently at the Mullion Cove Hotel in Cornwall, after the hotel scooped a number of awards for top hospitality.

The 30-bed boutique on Cornwall’s Lizard Peninsula, was awarded Gold in two categories in the 2016 Taste of the West Awards, recognising both the hotel and the restaurant.

The apartments scored a 92% rating on its first inspection.

Daniel Thompson, general manager of the Mullion Cove Hotel says: “It’s a fantastic testament to the whole team here to have received such great commendations. The apartments were a huge project for us and to have had such glowing feedback on the first inspection by VisitEngland is a real triumph. That both the hotel and the restaurant should have scooped the top prizes in their categories in the 2016 Taste of the West Awards is just amazing – our chefs aim to use produce from the local area as far as they possibly can, and we are lucky to have such an extensive variety on the doorstep. It is great to be recognised alongside some of the best in the region.”
