CitizenM Dublin St Patrick’s, the first location in Ireland for the hotel brand, is set to open its doors in summer 2025.
The Molyneux House site, found opposite St Patrick’s Park and Cathedral in Dublin, will comprise 245 rooms across nine-storeys once complete.
It will also be home to co-working spaces, a living room filled with art, designer furniture and a 24/7 CanteenM serving breakfast, coffee, cocktails, and grab-and-go food.
Members of the mycitizenM+ programme will be able to enjoy perks including discounted stays, late check-out, and free co-working.
CitizenM Dublin St Patrick’s is being developed by BCP Capital and has been designed by concrete Amsterdam alongside local architect ICA.
The general contractor for the project is Gilbert Ash, who previously worked with the brand having completed the fully modular construction of its London Victoria Station hotel in 2022.
Ray Hutchinson, managing director at Gilbert-Ash, commented: “CitizenM is known for disrupting the traditional hotel model with a real focus on lifestyle, guest-centric technology, efficiency, value and genuinely great customer service.
“We take on a lot of niche projects which require innovation to succeed, and we share a lot of the same values as CitizenM, therefore, we feel there is a real synergy between our companies. We are excited to be again working with the brand and are delighted to be taking on another project in the heart of Dublin.”
Klaas Van Lookeren Campagne, chief executive of CitizenM, added: “Dublin has been high on our list of target cities for some time, and we are thrilled to have secured this location as our first entry into the Irish market.
“We believe our affordable luxury concept is a great fit for the city, appealing to both visitors and locals alike, and look forward to connecting with this vibrant community.”
CitizenM operates over 30 hotels across the UK, North America, Europe and Asia, but this marks the brand’s first venture into Ireland, although it is actively seeking further opportunities in Dublin city centre.
