‘Cleanest Hotel in Brighton’ sold to new local operator

Strawberry Fields Guest House, which was crowned the ‘Cleanest Hotel in Brighton’ in November, now has a new owner.

The guest house, which overlooks the Garden Square of New Steine in the city, is a 29-bed property, which has been acquired by local hotel operator, Mr Bhardwaj Dhunnoo and his family, who own the nearby Hamptons Hotel.

Previous owners Sharon Callaghan and Jeremy Ogden purchased the hotel in 2006 and have since built the business up to be in great shape, shifting its TripAdvisor reputation from the low 50s to the top 30.

Andrew Moore, director at Christie & Co’s Maidstone office comments: “We are delighted to have facilitated the sale of Strawberry Fields to the Dhunnoo family who have a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry. We wish them the best of luck with their latest venture.”
