Kevin Brooke has been appointed as general manager at Cliveden House.

He will join the management team at the five-star boutique in October, and will take over from Sue Williams, who is returning to her home county of Wiltshire after four successful years.

Brooke was formerly general manager at the 58-bedroom Aman Sveti Stefan in Montenegro, where he was responsible for all aspects of operation and performance. He joined the Aman group in 2003, and has held management positions at the Amangani Resort in the USA, Amanyara Resort in the Caribbean and Amanwana Resort in Indonesia.

“This is a very exciting time for Kevin to be joining the Cliveden management team, as we embark on the creation of a new spa, which is the fourth and final phase of the outstanding restoration and refurbishment of Cliveden,” says Andrew Stembridge, managing director. “Kevin’s wealth of experience in luxury international spa resorts will undoubtedly complement that of the existing team and will enable him to take Cliveden to the next level.”

Brooke adds: “I am delighted and honoured to be taking over as general manager of such an iconic property. For me it has always stood out as one of the great country houses in the UK, both in terms of its architecture and rich history, and also its stunning grounds and sheer beauty. Now, with the recent renovations nearly completed, we have a wonderful opportunity to further elevate the guest experience and fulfil Cliveden’s enormous potential.”
