Completion of £3m project at Beadnell Towers Hotel spurs owners to hunt for next venture

The owners of a hotel in the North East are on the hunt for their next hospitality venture following the completion of a £3m renovation project at Beadnell Towers Hotel.

The management team at Henson Leisure relaunched the property in June after an 18-month redesign to convert the building into a 18-bedroom boutique, complete with new restaurant, bar and terrace.

Beadnell Towers was acquired by David Wilson and business partner John Morse in October 2016, who are now looking to identify future locations in the North East to expand their portfolio.

The company has also now completed a seven-figure refinancing deal, working with RMT Accountants & Business Advisors, and the Morpeth branch of Handelsbanken.

“We’ve had a fantastic response to the hotel and restaurant, both from the visitors that we’re attracting and from the local community, which has been crying out for this type of high-quality destination,” said Wilson.

“There’s so much happening in Northumberland and across the North East at the moment, and we want to build on this momentum by establishing more venues across the region which match the quality and style that’s on offer in Beadnell.”

Detailed plans are being finalised for the next project, which is expected to open this year.
