It also houses one of the largest function spaces in the west of Scotland, which can cater for up to 500 guests.

MGM Muthu Hotels boasts properties in the Algarve, Malaga, Almeria, Tenerife and the UK.

There are currently eight hotels in Scotland in the portfolio and three in England, with a view to acquire further properties in Scotland.

Stuart Drysdale, director at Christie & Co, he comments, “We have had a long-standing relationship with Cosmopolitan Hotels and were asked to conduct a confidential marketing campaign to find a buyer for the hotel. MGM Muthu Hotels are expanding their portfolio in Scotland and the purchase allows them to significantly increase their room stock and secure a large hotel with easy access to Glasgow airport, and act as a starting point for overseas visitors exploring the Loch Lomond area and the wider west coast of Scotland.”
