Cotswold House Hotel unveils new name for restaurant after drumming up support from locals

Cotswold House Hotel, part of Bespoke Hotels, has unveiled the new name for its restaurant, after launching a competition for guests and locals to come up with its new identity.

The hotel, which recently underwent a significant £1m restoration, launched the competition in July and now the winning name for the restaurant has been chosen as ‘Fig’.

The competition helped drum up support from guests and local residents and after sending in the best entry, Rod Larman of Berkhamsted in Hertfordshire was chosen as the winner and will now be treated to an overnight stay on the house.

Cotswold House Hotel now boasts a new restaurant, as well as a refreshed bistro and bedrooms.

Craig Webb, the general manager at Cotswold House said: “Rod’s suggestion instantly stood out to us due to the beautiful fig tree that is located outside the restaurant window.

“It feels like the perfect fit for the new restaurant and we’re looking forward to welcoming guests old and new to explore the new refurbishment.”

The hotel will re-open with an official launch event on October 6.
