A £1.2m investment is to be pumped into country house hotel, Down Hall in a bid to ensure it becomes one of the ‘finest wedding and conference destinations in the UK’.
The hotel will use the investment to refurbish its West Wing, the space connected to the main house which hosts weddings, parties and corporate events.
All of the West Wing’s event rooms will be completely refurbished, creating 4,150 sqm event space with six function rooms and a master suite.
New features include a separate entrance through a landscaped garden, private lounge bar, and a groom’s ‘den’, with the design being spearheaded by Rachel McLane Ltd.
A number of new wedding features will be introduced, including dedicated and separate private rooms for the bride and the groom, including The Liddell suite and The Den.
