Creative hospitality entrepreneurs join forces to launch aparthotel in Manchester in 2019

A new aparthotel will launch in Manchester in spring 2019, as a collection of hospitality entrepreneurs join forces for the new venture.

Apart-hoteliers, Native, restauranteurs, Pablo Flack and David Waddington of Bistrotheque, and leaders in boutique fitness, BLOK will open London Warehouse next year in the former Place Aparthotel building in the city.

The new property is setting out to ‘redefine the notion of a typical apart-hotel’ and will comprise 166 suites, a Bistrotheque restaurant on the ground floor, complete with lounge, coffee counter, mini cinema, bar, meeting rooms, private dining and outdoor terraces.

BLOK will bring together fitness, art, design and fashion with the brand’s first gym space outside of London.

Guy Nixon, Founder & CEO, Native, says: “Design and cultural collaboration are at the heart of Native’s approach to creating unique experiences for our guests. The purchase of the former Place Aparthotel has been a sector defining opportunity for us to work with the industry’s best creatives, architects and designers.”

Pablo Flack, Bistrotheque adds: “Having grown up in Huddersfield, Manchester exerted a very strong pull on me in my formative years. It’s a city with a keen sense of self and strong cultural foundations.  It’s also an exciting city to be in right now and we hope that we can become just one small piece in, what I think of as, a dynamic jigsaw.”
