Customer Service Star shines his way to promotion at Le Manoir


One of the finalists for the Customer Service Star accolade at the 2016 Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards has earned himself a well-deserved promotion.

Mitchell Collier, who was narrowly pipped to the post by Jean-Luc Bouchereau from Villa Magdala at last year’s October ceremony in London, has now been promoted to the role of Guest Relations Manager at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, where he has been working since January 2016.

Collier was shortlisted for the award for the first time last year and was up against Claire Duthie, Hipping Hall; Julie Wood, Sudbury House Hotel; Josh Perry, The Wood Norton and the eventual winner Bouchereau.

One of the industry’s bright young stars, Collier has been working in the industry only since July 2014 after completing a Level 3 Diploma in Hospitality and Management.

In 2014 he joined Exclusive Hotel, South Lodge where we stayed as guest serviced shift leader until January 2016, when he first joined Le Manoir.

Speaking to BH, he said he was ‘lucky enough’ to be part of the team at Le Manoir, a hotel that champions the success of all its staff.

He says: “Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons is a training ground for people in all fields of our industry. I’m lucky enough to be part of a team that wants all individuals, like myself, to achieve the best possible success.

“The passion from Raymond Blanc filters down into everything we do, that mixed with the dedication from my managers and mentors has resulted in many wonderful accomplishments so far. I cannot wait to see what lies around the corner and, with Belmond Le Manoir at my side, I’m sure it’ll be something exciting!”
