Dalata Hotel Group’s push in the UK shows no sign of slowing as it has agreed leases for two new sites.
The sites are in Bristol and Birmingham and between them they will add 580 new bedrooms to the group’s portfolio, taking the total number of new bedrooms in its UK pipeline to 1,700.
Speaking about the new lease agreements, Dalata deputy chief executive Dermot Crowley said: “Both cities possess very strong hotel markets and these two projects demonstrate our ability to grow a very attractive development pipeline of hotels in the UK.”
The Irish hotel group operates 12 of its Clayton-branded hotels in Ireland and further seven in the UK, with new sites being developed in Manchester and Glasgow. It also has 12 Maldron-branded hotels in Ireland, with another three in Northern Line and new sites under development in Newcastle and Glasgow.
This latest expansion by Dalata comes on the back of consistently strong results in the last few years, in terms of revenue, profit and RevPAR.
