Dukes London appoints new general manager from Jumeriah Carlton Tower


Mayfair hotel, Dukes London has appointed a new general manager.

The five-star hotel has announced that Paul Skinner will join Dukes on 2 September 2019, from his role as operations director at Jumeriah Carlton Tower.

As part of his new role, he will oversee all aspects of the 90-bedroom hotel, taking over from Debrah Dhugga who will leave to join north-east based The Apartment Group as managing director.

CEO of Dukes London, Bin Sulayem, comments: “The team and I are delighted to welcome Paul to the Dukes family. I’m sure that Paul will help Dukes London to maintain and enhance its reputation, delivering world-class service and exceptional guest experiences at the hotel.”

Skinner has been operations director at Jumeriah Carlton Tower since May 2016. Prior to this he worked at The Langham, London for six years and The Athenaeum Hotel and Apartments.

Skinner adds: “I am delighted to be joining Dukes London; the hotel is a prestigious establishment and has a long tradition of providing luxury service and hospitality for its customers. It is an honour to be appointed as the general manager, and I very much look forward to commencing my position in September.”

Dukes London is home to 90 bedrooms, 11 suites, a spa, private members health club, the GBR restaurant headed up by Nigel Mendham and Dukes Bar.
