Eclectic Hotels joins Wanup to focus on customer loyalty


Eclectic Hotels, a portfolio of four boutique hotels in Manchester, has joined up with Wanup in a bid to tap into a new customer base and increase guest loyalty.

The four hotels, which consist of Great John Street, King Street Townhouse in the city centre plus Didsbury House Hotel and Eleven Didsbury Park, join the independent hotel loyalty club that uses the sharing economy to unite hotel chains and independent hotels into one rewards programme.

Eclectic Hotels was just one of the new additions to the Wanup portfolio, alongside Castle Collection – a family-owned hotel group with five properties located in Ireland and the UK, and Sunborn London.

Commenting on joining Wanup, Gill Maitland, group sales manager, Eclectic Hotels, said: “The key thing for Eclectic Hotels was to increase customer loyalty to our collection of hotels whilst ensuring we enhance the customer experience, if we achieve that whilst reducing our OTA commission payments, that’s why Wanup is a great solution for us.”

With a €20m investment, Wanup launched in October 2016 allowing travellers, looking for interesting travel experiences, the possibility to find their ideal hotel among a variety of destinations, to book at the best prices and enjoy the rewards programme, Wanup Winnings.

With 650,000 members, Wanup is present in 15 European and Caribbean markets with more than 500 partner hotels and a current revenue of €300,000 since launch.

Wanup employs a team of more than 100 professionals and has ambitious international expansion plans of breaking even by the end of 2018 and add 7,000 partner hotels by 2020.
