Ex-Savoy chef opens new Buckingham boutique thanks to financial backing

A chef who learnt her craft at the Savoy has realised her dream by opening her own boutique hotel in Buckingham.

Jane Parslow, who has worked as a chef for 35 years most recently running her own patisserie business, launched Stoneleigh House Boutique Hotel this month, calling it a ‘dream come true’.

The Edwardian villa has been transformed into a six-bedroom boutique complete with garden space and a bar, with Parslow hoping the new addition to the area will be a success.

Speaking to the Buckingham Advertiser, Parslow said that the new opportunity was able to happen thanks to financial backing from a long-term friend and silent partner.

At the launch event, she said: “The whole night was a real success. Everyone was saying what a lovely vibe the place has – I couldn’t be happier.”
