A new general manager has been recruited at Cotswolds boutique, The Painswick.
Leah Warren has replaced Luke Millikin who had been at the helm of the 16-bedroom boutique since October 2015, overseeing its launch to the market as the newest property from The Calcot Collection.
He has now moved over to Hotel du Vin Cheltenham as general manager.
Warren joins from her most recent role as operations manager at Thurlestone Hotel, where she was stationed for almost two years since December 2016.
Prior to this she was general manager with Harbour Hotels Group and Hotel du Vin.
She was also operations manager with The Calcot Collection between 2015 and 2016.
On her appointment, she said she was ‘very priviledged’ to take over from Millikin and ‘looked forward’ to growing business at the popular boutique.
Speaking to Boutique Hotelier, Warren says: “I am very excited to be back at the Calcot Collection and feel very privileged to take the baton from Luke who has done a great job at The Painswick.
The Painswick has always been one of my favourite hotels and I love the personal touches and how ‘homely’ it feels as well as the amazing food. I am looking forward to working with head chef Jamie and the team to make it a favourite of all our guests.”
The Painswick is part of The Calcot Collection which is headed up by Richard Ball and his team. The property launched in March 2016 after a conversion from the former Cotswolds88 hotel, and was named Sunday Times Ultimate Hotel of the Year in the same year.
The kitchen is headed up by Jamie McCallum, who joined in August 2017.
The Calcot Collection consists of Calcot Manor, Barnsley House, Lord Crewe Arms and The Painswick.
