EXCLUSIVE: Cornwall hospitality business responds to demand with launch of new self-catering offering

An award-winning boutique B&B in Cornwall has begun a project to open a new self-catering cottage on site, in answer to demand from guests looking for longer-stay accommodation.

Pebble House, which has been owned and run by Andrea and Simon Cooper since 2013, is due to open The Little House in April 2018, as well as opening up the main business for self-catering from the peak summer month of July this year.

The Cornwall B&B will run as normal from February each year until the first week in July, where the property, which can sleep up to 12, will be available to rent.

Each room comes with Smart TV’s with Sky TV, a chef’s kitchen with sea views to be enjoyed from the front terraces.

New addition, The Little House, is a three minute walk away, and having been acquired in November 2017 is now undergoing a complete refurbishment before launching in a few months’ time.

The property once open will be able to accommodate four guests, home to two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a lounge, dining room and kitchen.

The business shift comes after the pair received multiple requests from guests eager to utilise Pebble House for self-catering.

Andrea and Simon told BH: “We have owned and ran Pebble House since 2013 which turned into a multi award-winning B&B a mere five weeks after opening. From November 2017 we started taking bookings for self-catering of Pebble House whereby all of the luxury boutique guest rooms, along with the super comfy sea views lounge and 46 ft chef’s kitchen are now available for rent from May 2018.

“We have received so many eager enquiries from our previous guests to the B&B awaiting The Little House opening, which we hope to be in April 2018 – watch this space.”
