Donnington Valley is to invest £1.5m into a new barn project built in the grounds of the four-star hotel to be unveiled in late 2019.
The hotel, which is part of the Vineyard Group, will build a new oak barn on the grounds of the hotel’s adjacent golf course, opposite it’s Grade-II listed Victorian clubhouse.
The barn will become a space to host weddings, meetings and special events, utilising the surrounding lawn space for al fresco ceremonies and woodland style dining.
Speaking to Boutique Hotelier, managing director at the Vineyard Group, Andrew McKenzie said that the new addition will be ‘unique to the region’ with transport provisions from the main hotel ‘setting the project apart from other stand-alone wedding barns’.
Donnington Valley Hotel is home to 111 bedrooms, a spa and 2 AA Rosette restaurant.
The five-star The Vineyard in Newbury is also part of the group.
