Following the launch of their third hotel property in September, brothers Oliver and Dominic Heywood are putting further expansion plans in place to build on the momentum at Flat Cap Hotels in 2019.

Earlier this year saw the launch of The Bridge in Prestbury, which was acquired by the family-run group in May and repositioned as a food-led four-star destination, with a 75-cover restaurant, bar, coffee shop and lounge with garden terrace.

The hotel is home to 23 bedrooms, with an office conversion project providing a further 25 bedrooms in 2019.

The Bridge joined The Vicarage in Holmes Chapel (2015) and The Courthouse in Knutsford (2017) as part of the Flat Cap Hotels portfolio.

Now it’s been revealed that further expansion plans are on the agenda next year for the group, as Oliver told BH that new room inventory will come online for both The Courthouse and The Vicarage in 2019.

“At The Courthouse we have eight luxury suites coming online in the new year, following three that came online in summer 2018,” he says. “Barristers Restaurant & Bar won Best Newcomer in the Cheshire Food & Drink Awards this year and is doing very well. The Courthouse has become known very quickly as a unique wedding and events venue due to its heritage and former crown court grandeur rooms.

“The Vicarage has a further eight luxury signature suites so will increase to 31 rooms in 2019. The hotel has had a complete refurbishment to the F&B areas, including its restaurant, bar, games room, conservatory and library.”

Flat Cap Hotels is a third-generation family-run hotel group, founded by brothers Dominic and Oliver Heywood in 2015.
