A hotel in Ireland is to relaunch in early 2019, with the opening of a new club marking the beginning of the hotel’s transformation.
The River Lee in Cork is currently undergoing a redesign, which will see its lobby, public spaces and bedrooms renovated, but has now opened The River Club, designed by the in-house team at The Doyle Collection.
The River Club Bar, Terrace and Grill Room boasts a ‘cool New York vibe’ in the bar, ‘sophisticated dining’ in the Grill Room and a Mediterranean feel on the riverside Terrace.
The River Club Bar features a double-height ceiling, wooden beams reclaimed from a whiskey distillery, a long mahogany bar, chevron patterned floor tiles and frosted glass Deco-style chandelier.
The River Club Terrace is home to tropical tree ferns, rich textiles, outdoor heaters in a ‘urban hideaway feel’.
The Grill Room is headed up by chef Paul Lane.
