FIRST LOOK: Lodore Falls Hotel unveils new spa following £10m redevelopment


Lodore Falls Hotel in the Lake Districts has unveiled the final piece in the puzzle of its recent £10m redevelopment, with the launch of a luxury new spa.

The 87-bedroom hotel, part of the Lake District Hotels group, began a multi-million refurbishment in 2017, with the ground-floor space being completed renovated and a new pan-Asian restaurant, Mizu, launching in April 2018.

Now the final phase of the development has been unveiled, with the launch of the new and 18 new spa suites in November.

The new Falls Spa features Scandi-inspired decor, bespoke designer furniture, luxury bathrooms and cosy seating areas.

Furnishings and light fixtures have been supplied by Tom Dixon, who also designed the upholstered furniture in the spa reception, and Moooi.

The spa’s Champagne bar features light fixtures designed by George Cawardine for Anglepoise, Chen Bikovski for Compagnie and Terence Woodgate.

The upholstery is all bespoke leather and fabric sourced from Skai, Warwick, Osborne and Little and Casamance.

The spa is also home to a relaxation room with panoramic views over the fells, forest and lake, plus loungers upholstered in Osborne and Little Velvet, complete with a custom-made cushion in reversible fabric from Zinc Textiles.
