Fistral Beach Hotel gives its Bay Bar a creative redesign

Fistral Beach Hotel and Spa has given its Bay Bar a redesign, to bring its seaside setting to life inside.

The hotel’s creative director Gayle Nettleton has blended natural design elements from Cornish designer Tom Raffield, with the hotel’s beach location for the design of the new space, which overlooks Fistral Beach.

The hotel, which is part of the Newquay Hotels group, used local Cornish suppliers where possible with Cornish timber, floor-to-ceiling drapes and a washed out seashore palette wrapping round the bar.

Sculptural wood designs from Tom Raffield’s signature collection have been used as a nod to the hotel’s seaside location, to create a new space that is bright and airy.

Famed for using a traditional steam bending process, Raffield’s signature style sees him create complex 3D shapes for the modern design world.

Fistral Beach Hotel and Spa is home to 71 bedrooms, a restaurant and an award-winning spa. It is part of the portfolio of Newquay Hotels, that also includes the Esplanade Hotel and the Quicksilver Surf School.
