Robert Scott has been appointed as the new general manager at Hipping Hall, the award-winning hotel that is part of Wildsmith Hotels.
Scott joins the hotel near Kirkby Lonsdale on the fringes of the Yorkshire Dales, from his role as GM at Simonstone Hall, a country house hotel in North Yorkshire.
In his new role, Scott will work closely with hotel owner Andrew Wildsmith and Wildsmith Hotels’ operations director Tom Lewis, to grow the reputation of Hipping Hall in the region.
Hipping Hall is home to a 3 AA Rosette restaurant, headed up by chef Oli Martin who joined the property last January.
Scott also boasts experience at a number of high profile establishments in the UK, including Hotel du Vin Cheltenham, Lower Slaughter Manor, Lucknam Park and Pennyhill Park.
