A former senior hotel inspector at the AA has moved to New Forest Hotels to take up the role of head of group operations.
Garry Baldwin will take the operational reigns at the group, which comprises four hotels – Bartley Lodge, Beaulieu Hotel, Forest Lodge and Moorhill House – Burley Manor, a restaurant and rooms and a country pub, the Drift Inn.
Baldwin has over 10 years’ experience with the AA – including creating and developing the AA College Rosette Scheme in partnership with People 1st for college restaurants in the hospitality industry.
Baldwin’s previous operational experience includes stints at Cunard, Bovey Castle in Devon and Pennyhill Park in Surrey.
Michaela Lisle, managing director of New Forest Hotel said that the company is “thrilled” with Baldwin’s appointment.
“This year we are celebrating our 30-year anniversary and attracting someone of his calibre at this stage of our journey is a great endorsement of our strategy and ambition.”
“Garry’s appointment brings unrivalled industry knowledge and experience, underpinning our next phase of investment in our hotels, pubs and restaurants, the team’s development and support, and, more importantly, our guests’ experience,” she adds.
