Former children’s home in Huddersfield given new life as 11-bed boutique

A former children’s home in Lindley, Huddersfield has opened its doors as a new 11-bedroom boutique hotel.

The transformation project at the Fieldhead Children’s Home was spearheaded by owners Sara and Mike Presley, who ploughed £4.5m into the redevelopment of the Grade-II listed building.

Now doors to the Manor House are open, home to two restaurants, three bars, including a roof terrace and space for events and weddings.

The Studio casual dining restaurant The Kitchen are the two latest additions to facilities at the new property.

Mark Ayre, Manor House general manager, said: “Since the opening of Manor House earlier this year we have had amazing support from the local community.

“We’re now delighted to be able to expand our offering to further enhance the leisure facilities and wellbeing of people in the local area and beyond”.
