The winner of the Front of House Manager of the Year category was Alexander Wilson from Brown’s Hotel.
After a hotly-contested judging process, Alex was named the winner.
Alex oversees the daily operation of Reception and Front of House with full accountability of ‘People, Product, Service and Profit’.
Since Alex has taken over Front of House, guest feedback has significantly increased, with room and upselling budgets/targets being exceeded month on month. Alex has been a key player in spearheading and successfully passing the recent American Express Audit (worth £2m in room revenue).
Alex has had consistent Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) mystery shopper scores of 100% across the board last year, which consequentially now places Brown’s Reception team as the highest in London; this has been achieved through high level focus of training given to his team including role play, quizzes on handovers/team meetings and using his external contacts to audit the team and give immediate feedback.
