The Gainsborough Bath Spa owned by YTL Hotels has joined Small Luxury Hotels of the Wodl (SLH).

The hotel, formerly part of Leading Hotels of the World, was selected by SLH for its ‘exceptional service, outstanding spa facilities and all-encompassing guest experience’.

The property’s Spa Village Bath includes a ‘Bath Circuit’ and an Aroma Bar where guests can blend their own oils.

Touches can be found throughout the spa from a stone lion’s head that releases ice pellets through its mouth (for rubbing on the body) to a Georgian-style hot chocolate fountain laced with chilli, cardamom and cinnamon.

The Gainsborough restaurant is headed by chef Dan Moon.

Andrew Jordan, Executive Vice President of YTL Hotels UK says “We are delighted to integrate with an organization as prestigious as Small Luxury Hotels of the World. We offer a highly luxurious wellness and gourmet experience for our guests and firmly believe this collaboration will reinforce our standing as one of the finest hotels in Britain and the world.”

Daniel Luddington, Vice President of Development at SLH, says “We have selected the property for its unique access to naturally heated spring waters, deep-rooted heritage and sustainable dining concept. The Gainsborough Bath Spa is also a short 90-minute train journey from London, making it the ideal destination to escape the city and enjoy a luxury weekend away.”
