The Highly commended accolade in the General Manager of the Year category was given to Patrick Jones from Tewkesbury Park.
Since joining the hotel in 2015, Patrick has been instrumental in turning Tewkesbury Park around, from being a run-down hotel with a poor reputation to one of the best in the region.
Working with the directors and project manager, he oversaw and implemented a multi-million pound refurbishment of the hotel, which covered all aspects of the business, as well as the construction of a knock-your-socks-off conferencing and events centre.
He successfully oversaw the refurbishment and building works, whilst also getting on with his ‘day job’ and putting together a clear strategy and vision to address the key issues in the ailing business. As a result of this, Tewkesbury Park has become a successful, profitable business, with good retention of key team members and fantastic feedback from guests, many of whom return regularly to stay.
