Georgian House’s £1m investment pays off as boutique gets top marks from AA


A recent £1m investment into the team and guest experience at Georgian House in Pimlico, London has paid off, after the hotel received top marks from the AA and Visit England following a recent visit.

The luxury Grade-II listed boutique, which is owned by Serena von der Heyde having been built by her great grandfather in 1851, has been officially awarded five-star guest accommodation status by quality hospitality assessment and rating schemes the AA and Visit England.

Adam Rowledge, general manager, Georgian House Hotel, said: “Being accredited five-stars by the two biggest independent rating organisations in the UK is a true testament to the great work of the Georgian House team. We pride ourselves on investing in our property and staff to ensure we are continuously developing our skills and services, and we are thrilled to receive the recognition.”

The property has recently completed a refurbishment project on its reception area, created London’s smallest cinema and expanded its collection of famous Wizard Chambers.

Georgian House has also signed up to Hospitality Action’s Employee Assistance Programme and working towards the London Healthy Workplace Charter.
