Highlight of your career so far?  My appointment at Vanbrugh House Hotel. It’s an amazing journey to be part of a boutique hotel which has a very personalised customer service.

Last hotel you stayed at? The Grand, York. Impressive architecture and great customer service.

Best piece of advice you ever received? “When I slow down I go faster”

Which other company (inside or outside the industry) do you most admire and why? Google as they are constantly searching for ways to improve the health, well-being and morale of its employees. Google offers on-site physicians, nurses, medical services and health care coverage to keep its employees happy and healthy.

What’s the first thing you do when you get to work in the morning? Full floor walk and a check with reception to see if there any issues, complaints and feedback

Your first job? Receptionist

If you weren’t a hotelier what would you be doing? Marketing

Where do you see yourself in five years’ time? Being a successful Cluster revenue manager
