Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow has transformed its ‘Grand Room’ into a sleek new events space with a £250k investment.
The Victorian building revamped the iconic room with dove greys to bring a modern touch to the space, which was created by design studio, Graven Images.
The look has been designed to ‘entwine traditional elegance with contemporary design without compromising on its vintage Hollywood glamour’.
Original features – dating back to the building’s original Queen Anne style architecture – remain untouched, and the space will be targeted towards the wedding market, catering for up to 400 guests.
The Principal hotel has welcomed the likes of Frank Sinatra, JFK, Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly and Cary Grant among others.
Graeme Gibson, general manager at The Grand Central Hotel, said: “This beautiful refurbishment has seen our already Grand Room transformed into a truly sophisticated venue with the best of modern design and architecture used to draw out existing, stunning period features.”
