Hometel brand, room2 has agreed a 30-year lease at Grade-II listed Fulham Town Hall to open its first ‘premium’ hospitality concept.
The West London landmark is being restored by Ziser London and now it’s been revealed that room2 will be the headline tenant following the completion of the renovation project.
Fulham Town Hall by room2 will comprise 90 bedrooms and a mix of event and co-working space, plus F&B offerings, with a scheduled opening date of early 2022.
The construction project is due to begin in May.
The Grade II listed building was acquired by Ziser in 2019 from a private vendor.
The brainchild of brothers Robert and Stuart Godwin, room2 currently has two operational locations, the Southampton hometel and Hammersmith Townhouse.
An 89-room hometel in Chiswick is scheduled to welcome guests in Q2 2021, followed by a 59-key Manchester offering.
Fulham Town Hall by room2 will be the fifth operating hometel when it opens.
Robert Godwin, co-founder of room2, commented: “As our first premium hometel, Fulham Town Hall by room2 is a natural evolution of our business model and demonstrates our ability to curate the product to fulfil a range of guest needs. We are incredibly excited by the potential complementary mix of operators being lined up to join us, bringing together like-minded experts focused on delivering discerning customers a world class experience.”
