Green Tourism, the world’s largest sustainable accreditation programme, has launched its new ‘Green Check’ offering for tourism businesses looking to gain a sustainability award within two weeks.
Launching on November 13th and running until the end of January 2018, Green Tourism will offer businesses a pre-assessment review.
The ‘Green Check’ will include a series of questions taken from the full Green Tourism rating system and give businesses a benchmark to understand where they are on their green journey.
At the end of the review, businesses will be given guidance and advice on how they can achieve an award.
The Award, according to Green Tourism’s managing director, Andrea Nicholas, will provide organisations with a significant marketing and commercial opportunity to kick start the new year.
Andrea explains: “There is much evidence that consumers, particularly Generation Y, are motivated by ethical consumption. We can certainly back that up by the experiences of those who currently hold a Green Tourism award.
“Not only are award holders able to communicate clear and compelling differentiation, they are also benefiting from real cost savings by taking on board the advice of our assessors.”
Green Tourism, which is currently marking its 20th year, has launched the initiative as part of an overall strategy to build on the sustainable movement of over 2,000 tourism businesses.
Interested businesses can register on www.green-tourism.com or email Diane@green-tourism.com and book an appointment. Assessors will then arrange for a call back and guide the business through the process.
