Greg Stephenson

Greg Stephenson has worked tirelessly to build a brand identity for Wildsmith Hotels, which includes Forest Side, Grasmere, Hipping Hall, Cowan Bridge and The Ryebeck, Bowness. He joined the trailblazing group, headed up by Andrew Wildsmith, in March 2016, coming from Cumbria Tourism, where he was head of PR and worked closely with Wildsmith Hotels as a result.

Described as a ‘natural progression’ to move across to client side, he took his heaps of experience, including that with Carlisle City Council and Cumbria Police, to his position with Wildsmith Hotels, just as the brand was cementing its reputation within the industry.

Now he focuses on ensuring this reputation is upheld and continues to grow. He has worked alongside creative agency Fat Media created three co-branded websites, authored the content and organised film and photography for each one. In addition he has undertaken significant work to place Wildsmith Hotels at the forefront of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales boutique hotel offering through work with bloggers, key influencers and media outlets, including local, regional, national and international magazines and newspapers.

Stephenson has also undertaken a series of partnership projects to encourage interaction at a variety of levels with all three Wildsmith Hotels. One such project Brass3Down featured on BBC Countryfile highlighting a forgotten food Windermere Charr.
