The Grove muscles in on the competition with new £300k wellness facility

The Grove, the five-star country hotel in Hertfordshire, has announced plans to invest £300k into developing a new fitness and wellbeing facility.

The full gym refurbishment, which is due to be completed at the end of August 2018, will see the addition of physiotherapy and nutrition consultation rooms, plus new cardio, weights and functional fitness ‘zones’ with new Technogym equipment.

The Sequoia spa has also recruited a nutritionist and a physiotherapist, while refreshing the treatment menu and introducing an enhanced membership option.

New treatments on the menu, which use products from ESPA and Natura Bissé, include The Mindful Touch Massage – which uses virtual reality for relaxation – and the High Definition Face Lift– which is an effective alternative to microinjections.

Jamie Pagan, spa director of The Grove’s Sequoia spa, said: “Our spa is a holistic wellbeing destination, and we are delighted to be expanding and enhancing our offering even further. The refurbishment means that we will have one of the most advanced hotel gyms available and our updated treatment menu offers more choice than ever for head-to-toe rejuvenation in Sequoia’s tranquil surroundings.”
