A four-star hotel perched on a prime position on a Guernsey clifftop has gone up for sale for £9m.
Fermain Valley Hotel features 45 bedrooms, an indoor pool, outdoor terrace, private cinema and events room, situated in 3.35 acres, and is currently owned by Vista Hotels Group.
Aside from the trading areas, the sale also includes a 3-bedroom cottage and 54 staff bedrooms spread across onsite and nearby properties.
The hotel’s Valley (with direct access to Guernsey’s infamous cliff paths) leads down to Fermain Bay, a tucked-away pebble beach, that remains quiet throughout the year.
Paul Barrasford, a director in the Hotels Agency team at Colliers International, said that the sale was a ‘rare opportunity’, with the business trading well and he expects to receive a ‘substantial level of interest’ in the sale.
Tim Coates, commercial director of owner’s Vista Hotels Group, added: “The boutique property is in undeniably one of Guernsey’s most picturesque locations, within a short drive of both the airport and main town St Peter Hotel. The Fermain Valley has as an enviable reputation for some of the best food & beverage offerings and quality of service on island. The hotel offers a complete booking solution with ATOL licence able to book flights and hotel to ensure it yields some of the island’s highest occupancy and yields.”
Fermain Valley is part of Vista Hotel group and is operated alongside Le Chalet and Sunnycroft Hotels in Guernsey, and Braye Beach Hotel and Divers in Alderney.
