Hand Picked Hotels has announced the appointment of Mark Platt as general manager of St Pierre Park Hotel, Spa and Golf resort in Guernsey, the Channel Islands.
The 131-bedroom hotel, which is one of two on the Channel Islands for the Hand Picked portfolio, has welcomed Platt from his most recent position at The Majestic Hotel in Harrogate.
He boasts over 30 years of experience in the hotel industry, working with brands in the UK and overseas including IHG, Accor, and Hilton.
Now as part of his new role he will focus on driving business in the local and residential conference market, expanding the meetings and private events side of the business and focusing on building on the success of the newly-relaunched health club.

St Pierre Park is home to 131 bedrooms, an AA Rosette restaurant The Pavilion, seven meeting rooms, and the new health club and spa with five treatment rooms offering Elemis treatments, all set within 35 acres.
The hotel also boasts tennis courts and has a new nine-hole golf course with a new £2m driving range and adventure golf experience.
