Hand Picked Hotels gets its TV close up in bid to increase direct leisure bookings

Hand Picked Hotels, a privately-owned country house hotels and spa resorts, is launching its first UK TV advertising campaign as it looks to expand its consumer reach and increase direct leisure bookings.

Chairman and CEO, Julia Hands said that the campaign had been created to explore new marketing channels and ‘increase the awareness’ of the Hand Picked Hotels portfolio, as it goes after new markets.

The 30-second ‘Night Away’ advert will be supported by a series of edited 10-second ads designed to capture the core elements of a Hand Picked Hotel experience, featuring a selection of the group’s 19 properties.

The campaign will air this month on channels including Sky, UKTV, More4, Film4 and BT Sport and will run for four weeks until the end of January, promoting a dinner, bed and breakfast package for two for £159 when booked direct.

Julia Hands, chairman and CEO at Hand Picked Hotels commented: “Our first TV advertising campaign is an exciting step for us as we look to up weight our current marketing activity across new channels and increase the awareness of our unique collection of hotels to a wider leisure audience. 

“With our limited offer representing truly great value this winter, I hope the campaign will define us to a new audience in search of an authentic country house hotel staycation experience this year and beyond.”

Hand Picked Hotels is an independent collection of 19 country house hotels and spa resorts in the UK and the Channel Islands.
