The hotly-anticipated Hard Rock Hotel London will check in the capital next year, when it officially opens its door in spring 2019.
The new hotel, which will be the debut Hard Rock branded property in London when it launches, has been undergoing a conversion from the former Cumberland Hotel since 2016 in a collaboration with glh Hotels.
Architectural and interior design practice, Scott Brownrigg is tasked with creating the property’s new look, with the Hard Rock Hotel London home to around 1,000 rooms, two bars, and a Hard Rock Café.
In the lobby, the world famous Rock Shop will feature Hard Rock’s iconic merchandise.
Décor will pay tribute to former residents of Hard Rock Hotels around the world, such as Jimi Hendrix, Diana Ross, Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder and Madonna.
The Hard Rock Café will feature a menu will classic American cooking with a British ‘modern twist’ and will comprise 370 covers hosting live events regularly.
Oliver Kahf, general manager of Hard Rock Hotel London, who was appointed in October 2017, said: “Hard Rock is a world-class institution where contemporary style and comfort meets rock star service. This building has stood at the intersection of British music and fashion since the 1930s and when we open in spring 2019, it’s sure to become a go-to London hotspot once again.”
