Hardwick Hall Hotel to get £350k facelift to bring boost in custom


Hardwick Hall Hotel in Sedgefield, County Durham, is to undergo an extensive £350k facelift, which will see its bedrooms, boardrooms and bars being refurbished.

The four-star hotel, which is part of Ramside Estates, is hoping the new look will encourage more people to visit and will unveil its new look in around three months time with work scheduled to begin immediately.

Plans are to spend £150k on the Coleman Suite, which can take up to 400 guests, decorating and laying new carpets along with replacing all the furniture.

The hotel is home to 51 bedrooms and an acclaimed steakhouse and grill, and is known for hosting large-scale balls and events.

General manager Lee Kirtland said: “We are very excited about this renovation which we are sure will be appreciated by our guests.”
