Northern Ireland’s collection of properties, Hastings Hotels, has announced the continued investment of over £60m into its growing portfolio.
The group has invested £53m into its seventh hotel, the Grand Central Hotel, which is due to open in 2018 and upon completion will be Northern Ireland’s largest hotel with 304 bedrooms.
In addition Hastings Hotels has ploughed £10m into the renovation of its six other properties in recent years.
This has seen the completion of a £4.8m renovation of the Culloden Estate and Spa, which celebrated 50 years under the HH ownership this year.
There was also a £1.5m grand ballroom at the Everglades Hotel created, £2m invested into a new entrance and lobby bar at the Europa, plus the creation of a new £1m conference and event facility at the Stormont Hotel.

The continued investment has been recognised recently with Hastings Hotels picking up five gongs at the 2017 Irish Hotel Awards.
The Slieve Donard Resort & Spa was named Irish Hotel of the year, Conference & Business Hotel of the Year and employee Raymond Edgar picked up Groundsman of the Year, while the Culloden Estate & Spa was named Luxury Hotel of the Year and Natalie Gourley from the Stormont Hotel won Conference Manager of the Year.
