This week Hilton is to begin the roll out of its new CleanStay initiative, introducing a new set of cleanliness and disinfection standards to all 152 UK properties.
Hilton CleanStay has been created in collaboration with Lysol and Dettol marker, RB and Mayo Clinic, with the roll out starting yesterday and the aim of being in all Hilton hotels globally by mid-July.
“For more than a century, our top priority has been the safety and security of our guests and Team Members. As the hospitality industry evolves to address travelers’ changing expectations – especially in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic – Hilton CleanStay is the latest evolution of our commitment to providing the peace of mind and confidence our guests need to travel freely, while protecting our team members,” said Chris Nassetta, President and CEO of Hilton.
The new standards include: updated website landing page with updates on all new cleaning protocols and procedures; contactless check-in on arrival and digital key room access; bedrooms comprising disinfection wipes and a Hilton CleanStay room deal and an increased frequency of cleaning public areas.
In hotel restaurants, tables and chairs will be spaced to ensure distancing and disposable dishes / utensils will be available on request.
