A historic hotel in Nantwich is to open a new-look restaurant after an extensive refurbishment to transform the property’s dining area.
The Crown Hotel has converted its former Casa restaurant into a new Crown Bar and Grill, to meet the “changing tastes” of the general public, according to owner Philip Martin.
Once complete, the new eatery at the 18-bedroom hotel will serve a selection of local food sourced from Cheshire and North Wales region, after Martin noticed the increase in demand from locals for simple food cooked well.
The Crown Bar and Grill will undergo a major refurbishment to match the new menus, with the redesign focused on the hotel’s 400 year history, its authentic beams and atmosphere.
Martin commented: “Local people are demanding local food cooked in a manner we are comfortable with yet, with an accent to the tastes and experiences gained on European holidays and perhaps further afield.”
