Hospitality First to manage Grade-II listed Northwick Hotel following sale

Independent management company Hospitality First is to manage the Grade-II listed Northwick Hotel in Evesham following its sale to a private purchaser.

The 29-bedroom coaching inn property was sold through Colliers International off a guide price of £1.35m.

The hotel was originally built as a coaching inn around 200 years ago and has recently been refurbished, comprising its bedrooms, function rooms, plus a restaurant and bar.

Hospitality First will now operate Northwick Hotel on behalf of its new owner. The company also manages properties across the UK, including Holiday Inn Express Kettering and Sure Hotel in Birmingham.

Clive Nicholls, chief executive of Hospitality First, said: “This was a swiftly-completed transaction and we are now looking forward to managing the Northwick Hotel, and further building upon its existing reputation in the region.”

Peter Brunt, a director in Colliers International’s Hotels Agency team, said: “The Northwick is a quality, all-round hotel and was brought to the market when the current owner decided to retire after many years of trading.

“The Northwick hotel is prominently located on the edge of Evesham town centre, making it ideal for both business and leisure guests looking for good quality accommodation and service. However, it also offers great potential for its new owner to make their mark on it, and I look forward to seeing how it is further developed under the management of Hospitality First.”
