The Hoxton, Southwark has opened its doors on Blackfriars Road, becoming the eighth property in The Hoxton series.
The hotel boasts 192 rooms, welcoming communal spaces, an all-day dining spot called Albie, and a stunning seafood rooftop restaurant, Seabird, which will open on September 16 and offers “unparalleled” city views.
The rooms come in five categories: Shoebox, Snug, Cosy, Roomy and Biggy, and are all full of natural light with an industrial aesthetic inspired by the neigbourhood’s rich trading history.
The hotel features concrete ceilings and bare brick walls alongside luxurious touches like velvet ruby headboards, comfy lounge chairs, and handmade glassware.
There is art in every room, curated by Jealous Gallery, as well as bespoke books selections from Hox Friends.
All the perks usually associated with the Hoxrron are also included, for example a mini fridge, a reception shop with local products at supermarket prices, and a free daily breakfast bag delivered to the door.
Ennismore Design Studio is responsible for the interiors throughout the hotel, with a mix of antique and bespoke furniture sourced from British makers throughout the hotel.
In the lobby, there is a range of seating options including bar stools and communal working tables, whilst there is also super-sized greenery throughout the ground floor, including giant palms.
The art collection throughout the communal spaces was curated in collaboration with Project On Walls, with a focus on emerging British talent.
