Independent Hotel Show heads to Amsterdam for debut European launch

The Independent Hotel Show is to host its first exhibition in Europe, debuting in May 2019 in Amsterdam.

The UK exhibition for luxury, lifestyle and boutique hotels will bring together 150 suppliers, a host of educational seminars and networking opportunities to Rai, Amsterdam on 8 and 9 May next year.

Founded in London in 2012, the Independent Hotel Show in the UK is the only live business platform dedicated to the needs of independent, luxury and boutique hoteliers in the UK and Ireland.

Amsterdam was last year’s most attractive European city for investment, with occupancy in the city forecast at 82% in 2018 and RevPar expected to be up 11% by 2019.

There are also 10,000 new rooms under development in the city centre alone.

Hotel brands such as Soho House, The Hoxton, W Hotels and Andaz have already launched in Amsterdam over recent years.

Miranda Martin, portfolio director of Fresh Montgomery’s niche market events, said: “Our first edition of the Independent Hotel Show in Europe will broaden our passion for and support of the hotelier community into Europe, bringing together and redefining the current and future hotel landscape. It will help hoteliers discover and apply the best solutions and experiences for the modern consumer, who is highly-connected, well-travelled, business-driven and seeks authenticity; whilst simultaneously providing practical solutions to help hoteliers streamline efficiency and profitability across their hotel businesses.”

The seventh UK Independent Hotel Show will take place at Olympia, London on 16 and 17 October 2018.

The first night will also host the Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards at Hilton Olympia.
