The construction of a new £4m hotel in Northumberland has begun, spearheaded by hotel group, The Inn Collection.
The completion of the structural building work at a new Amble hotel marks the first milestone in a project that is due for launch later this year.
The Amble Inn is being created at the town’s Coquet Enterprise Park and will feature 30 bedrooms, a 150-cover restaurant, with pub company The Inn Collection Group confirmed as the operators earlier this year.
The property will take the group’s total bedroom number across its estate to 232, making the Kings Park Capital backed operator one of the largest independent accommodation providers in the north east.
The Inn Collection consists of seven sites across Northumberland, County Durham and Teeside and secured finance in July from OakNorth to fund the expansion at The Amble Inn as well as increase the size of three of its existing properties.
Now with construction well underway, The Inn Collection Group’s managing director Sean Donkin said: “We are excited to have reached this important milestone in the building of The Amble Inn and look forward to the completion of this landmark property.
“Our focus will now be placed on the building’s interior design and build.
“We will be creating something rather special which, once finished, will be a hugely popular dining and bar area supported with excellent accommodation.
“The Amble Inn will be a key driver in supporting Amble’s regional economy with strong job creation and inter-trading opportunities as well as providing those who live, work and are visiting Amble with an outstanding new environment to eat, drink and sleep in.”
