The Inver Lodge Hotel, in the west-coast Scottish fishing village of Lochinver, has appointed Stuart Blake as its new head chef.
The Glasgow-born chef brings over 20 years’ of international experience and has trained under the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Marco Pierre White.
Trained to a Michelin standard he specialises in British and classical French cuisines, and also mentors junior chefs himself.
The Inver Lodge Hotel is a 21-bedroom, family-owned property that boasts three lochs on the surrounding land.
Guests are welcome to take the hotel’s small boats out onto the lochs to try their hand at fishing for salmon or trout.
Meanwhile, local steak, salmon and game are used in the property’s kitchen.
General manager, Janet C. Boyd commented: “We are delighted to have Stuart leading our kitchen team, offering hearty, wholesome dining in the Highlands of Scotland.”
