Irish hotel looks to expand operations with property upgrade

A luxury hotel in Northern Ireland is set to increase its guest capacity by over 50% in a bid to expand the business.

It has been reported that Ballymena-based Leighinmohr House Hotel has had to apply to build new rooms in response to the growing demand.

According to the Belfast Telegraph, the popular wedding venue has lodged an application to extend its room offering from 20 to 32 with the addition of 12 new boutique rooms.

In addition to increasing the hotel’s booking capacity, the high-end hotel is also looking to expand its kitchen facilities.

According to the publication, a spokesperson for the company said: “We’ve been here four years now and business is going very well.

“We’re primarily a restaurant and weddings business, so just last year we gutted out our Galgorm Suite and gave it a complete makeover. Now with the extension we will be able to continue to offer top-class services to our growing customer base.”
