Isle of Wight hotel undergoes £1m refurbishment


Family-owned hoteliers, Daish’s Holidays, has recently completed a £1 million refurbishment of its flagship Isle of Wight property.

Daish’s Hotel in Shanklin is the first hotel on the Isle of Wight to have been refurbished to this scale which included improvements on all 72 bedrooms, giving its existing Tally Ho bar a facelift and adding a coffee shop.

Originally an 18th century coaching inn, the hotel has been modernised to a high standard whilst still retaining its period features.

The group, which offers guests the option of coach travel or self-drive holidays, owns a total of seven hotels situated on the south coast of England and Isle of Wight.

Recently celebrating 35 years in business, Daish’s Holidays has enjoyed consistent month-on-month growth since October 2013 achieving 99% occupancy across its hotels in October 2014, traditionally its quietest month.

The Daish’s hotel was awarded a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in 2013 and was recently named Group Travel Awards Most Group-Friendly Hotel Chain 2014.
