Judges to decide on winners of 2018 BH Awards today


The winners of the 2018 Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards will be decided upon today.

As anticipation builds for the official ceremony taking place on October 16th, today will see the five judges come together in London to cast their votes and share their opinions on who should be crowned victorious in 11 categories.

The judges this year are; Peter Hancock, chief executive of Pride of Britain Hotels; Giovanna Grossi from The AA; Lorraine Dale, head housekeeper at the Royal Household, Windsor Castle,; Adam Dyke, operations director at Chewton Glen and last year’s General Manager of the Year and David Lockhart, hotel manager at The Ned, plus Zoe Monk from Boutique Hotelier.

Today we will spend the day poring over each candidate and meticulously reading through each nomination to reach a final decision.

A total of 10 winners will be chosen from the shortlists, with one highly commended also being selected for the General Manager of the Year category.

From the Housekeeping Managers to the Bar, Restaurant and Reservations Managers, the judging panel will pick the best of the best in each field from some of the country’s top hotels.

Now the countdown is on for the big reveal, with the Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards ceremony taking place on Tuesday 16th October at Hilton Olympia London, where the winners will officially be announced.

Doors will open at 7pm and already hundreds of hoteliers and staff from properties up and down the country have secured their place on the guest list. The event is free for hoteliers and staff to attend and all you need to do is email
